Maintenance of fuser part
The maintenance of the fuser mainly includes the fuser heating roller (including rubber roller), separation claw, thermistor and thermal switch.
(1) Maintenance of fusing heating roller
The fixing heating roller may be pasted with a layer of toner after long-term use. Generally speaking, the surface of the heating roller should be very clean. If there is dirt, it will affect the printing effect. If there are black blocks and strips in the printed sample, and the toner of the picture and text is stuck elsewhere, it indicates that the surface of the hot roller has been damaged or damaged. If it is slight, it can be used after cleaning (but not for sulfuric acid paper). If it is serious, it is only necessary to replace the heating roller. The rubber roller matched with the heating roller will also be stuck with waste powder after long-term use. Generally, it will not affect the output effect when it is slight, but if it is serious, it will make the back of the output sample dirty. When cleaning the heating roller and rubber roller, use absorbent cotton dipped in anhydrous alcohol to wipe them carefully. However, do not wipe the heating roller too hard, and do not scrape with a blade and sharp objects to avoid damaging the fusing heating roller. The wiping of the rubber roller can be simpler, just wipe its surface clean.
(2) Maintenance of separating claw
The separating claw is a small claw close to the heating roller. Its sharp claw usually has slight contact and friction with the heating roller for a long time, while its back has long-term friction with the output paper sample. Over time, it will rub off the outer film layer and stick the waste powder caking. On the one hand, it will increase the friction with the heating roller and damage the heating roller. On the other hand, the back becomes not smooth enough after caking to prevent the transportation of paper, Thus, when the paper is output, it becomes curved and folded, which affects the quality, and even the paper cannot be output and gets stuck here. Therefore, if the output paper is found to be wrinkled, pay attention to cleaning the separation claw. The method is to carefully remove the separation claw, carefully wipe off the waste powder caking on it, and carefully polish the back. Generally, do not grind the sharp claw. If you want to grind, be careful. After wiping, it can be carefully reinstalled (when installing, each separation claw can be replaced to make the wear of each part similar).
(3) Maintenance of thermistor and thermistor switch
Thermistor and thermistor switch are components close to the heating roller. In the early days, laser printers were installed near the center of the heating roller. Later, they were improved to be installed at both ends of the heating roller. These two components usually do not need great maintenance. However, when the printer is used for a long time (with large output), waste powder and some dirt will be stuck on the thermistor shell (outer packaging shell), which will affect its temperature sensing, Make its temperature sensing to the hot roller change, so as to increase the surface temperature of the heating roller, which will first affect the service life of the hot roller, accelerate the aging of the rubber roller and the wear of the separation claw and other parts, and increase the preheating time, so as to reduce the service life of the fusing lamp. Secondly, too high temperature will curl the paper and affect the output, resulting in paper jam, and sometimes even blister sulfuric acid paper, coated paper and so on. When the situation is serious, it will even burn out the heating roller.
The maintenance method is to carefully remove the fuser, remove the thermistor and thermistor switch, and wipe the dirt of its shell with cotton dipped in some alcohol. Be careful not to damage its shell during operation. Then install it carefully. When installing it, be sure to pay attention to the distance between the thermistor and the hot roller, so as not to damage the parts due to too high temperature sensing. Generally speaking, the thermistor should be in close contact with the heating roller as much as possible, and the thermistor switch can be opened for some distance.
